On the route between Cowgate through Grassmarket to Lothian Road men keep following me. They harass me and they follow me. This happens countless times, almost every time I walk this way. There was one week where I was followed almost the entire way home by 4 separate men on 4 consecutive days. Will it ever stop?

I was walking home from a friend’s house at around 1pm. I only had to walk along Princes Street. With Princes Street being relatively busy, I didn’t think much of it. This man started talking to me and followed me. I was so scared and didn’t want him to know where I lived. He kept saying that his son would be a great boyfriend and that he would put me in touch with him. I was really scared and really just wanted to be home. Nothing happened, but every time I walk along Princes Street, I think of that night.

I was walking home from a night out in New Town. Young driver stopped and offered to drive me home. I politely declined but he kept persisting. I felt scared. I convinced him to leave his phone number with me, so I could call him the next day. That seemed to satisfy him – thankfully. Never called the guy.
